The EAG (Design studio) team, in collaboration with a local architectural firm, proposed a design for the new ISIS building incorporating an internationally- recognized set of criteria on sustainable design. The aim is to create a state-of-art facility for Malaysia?s premier think tank while linking toglobal concerns for sustainability and energy efficiency.
Throughsuch an achievement, the building reinforcesa corporate commitment to sustainability while creating a working environment that is highly adaptable to varying patterns of working and collaborating, while promoting efficient interaction between occupants. The overall massing isa modern, cantilevered, elevated approachwith intersecting orthogonal planes. This form lends itself to a modular method of construction based on prefabrication– further reducingthe disturbance of site, while controlling costs and reducing construction time.
